This playlist is an intimate collection of songs. They speak about the heart, not in a romantic way, but rather in the way that the Earth has a heart. I don’t use this playlist during writing or reading (both activities deeply associated with studying) but rather as a meta-musical space where education in the form of (academic) life and self-actualisation occur.
Nicolás Ruiz is a PhD student in the Centre for Research at the University of Edinburgh, where he is researching speculative futures of Colombian rural schools. He is also the founder of FEE (www.feecolombia.org), a non-profit organisation that collaborates with Colombian rural schools to provide new and hopeful opportunities to campesino students.
